Hashtags & the Facebook Website
Do you find yourself using #hashtags on websites, like Facebook?
It has been obvious to many Facebook users that hastags didn’t work on Facebook. Not anymore!
On Wednesday 12th June 2013, Facebook announced that they will be rolling out a series of features on their website that surface some of the interesting discussions people are having about public events, people, and topics. As a first step, they are rolling out hashtags on Facebook.
Now you can search for a specific hashtag from your search bar (for exmaple, #BuildBrands), click on hashtags that originate on other services (such as Twitter), and compose posts directly from the hashtag feed and search results.
